Welcome to our studio:  The Grimmet Mansion: Designed by architect John Gilbert McIlvaine in 1924 (and expanded in 1952) modeled after the Scottish family’s estate.   Once home to famous botanist Martha Gibson Ostheimer – the mansion was known for extensive herb gardens, vegetable gardens, and a Chinese-American cross Chestnut Orchard.   *The Grimmet Mansion has been entered in the National Register of Historic Places.
